But today the emphasis has shifted towards high-tech projects based on not just the latest solutions but the ones for the far future. We need companies that makes products with high added value. Not only will this increase tax payments to the budget, but will also effect working conditions and salaries of workers. Today the aim is to create more highly paid jobs. One such project is to establish a production of innovative lamps in the Ulyanovsk region. We are going to implement it together with a Slovenian company "Ecobase Global". We value openness of the company and its confidence in us. It was important for us to see that the production is based on modern international standards and technologies and that the company creates high-tech jobs. During the visit we agreed with the investor's management to accelerate project implementation in the territory of the region and to release new types of products in addition to the ones mentioned in the agreement,” – said the head of the region.
An investment agreement on establishment of a multifunctional factory for production of LED street lighting in the territory of special economic zone was signed between the Government of the region, the Ulyanovsk Region Development Corporation and the investor at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in June 2017.
